You only need to bring a Dhoti with you for the ritual.
After reaching the Ghat, you will first offer your prayers to Maa Ganga. The Pandit Ji will then guide you through the initial ritual and Sankalp.
The ashes are carefully taken out from the container in which they have been kept and placed in the appropriate vessel for the ritual. The Pandit Ji performs the required purification process using sacred water and mantras.
After this, the material required for preparing the Pind is provided. You will prepare the Pind according to the instructions of the Pandit Ji. Kusha is also used as part of the traditional ritual.
